From Sofia: Serbia and Macedonia Trip

At 9:00 a.m., an English-speaking driver will pick you up from your Sofia hotel, and after about a 2-hour drive with various landscapes to admire along the way, you will arrive at the Serbian border.

After crossing the border, you will visit the nearby town of Bosilegrad (the capital of the former Yugoslavia) before returning to Bulgaria and heading to Northern Macedonia.

After a short drive, you will arrive at the beautiful Monastery of Osogovo, an incredibly powerful place in the hills dating back to the 12th century that was later converted into a mosque by the Ottomans, and then converted again into a church. This location is very scenic and peaceful; take some time to walk around the area. After that, you’ll have lunch in a nice restaurant with good Macedonian grill (meat or fish) and, of course, Skopsko beer.
